Job Description

Are you currently pursuing a bachelor's degree in Management Information Systems, Computer Science, Data Science, or Finance, and looking to gain related work experience in a Fortune 500 company? Air Products, a leader in industrial gas manufacturing, has co-op position available in the Spring of 2022 in our Internal Audit department located at our corporate headquarters in Allentown, PA.

The co-op position will focus on (but are not limited to):

  • Managing and delivering on data analytics projects - Includes working under the guidance of the Data and Innovation Lead to: develop a methodology for prioritizing data analytics needs for the department; identify tools and methods to conduct analytics training; and create and deploy sustainable analytics models that can be used by the department. In order to deliver on this work, the individual would need to identify the technology and platforms that serve as systems of record for data. They would also need to understand risks and controls, and the concept of providing assurance through the analysis of data.
  • Gaining insight into the IT Audit function - Includes shadowing the technical and operational auditors to learn about the different flavors of audits, such as cybersecurity, system implementation, cloud security, and SOX. This co-op program will also provide exposure to major systems (e.g. SAP) and tools in use at Air Products.
Co-op Timing: The spring co-op program is approximately 21 weeks in length (early January to end of May).

Qualifications:
  • Minimum GPA of 3.3 is required
  • Current student in their sophomore or junior year working toward a bachelor's degree in Management Information Systems, Computer Science, Data Science, or Finance
  • Strong leadership, problem-solving, interpersonal, communication and time management skills
  • Previous experience with data analytics tools or programming languages such as ACL, Qlik, SQL, Tableau, Python, R, among others.
  • Inquisitive mindset
  • Ability to maintain confidentiality
