What you will do

Johnson Controls is seeking a Commercial Technical Services Analyst to join our Global Products team supporting our Ducted Systems division. You will model complex business problems, discover insights and identify business opportunities using data mining and analytical tools. This role will work closely with business leaders, project/program managers, technical owners and other business teams to turn data into intelligence to inform sound organizational decisions.

You will use
multiple platforms, programs, and visualization techniques to rapidly generate interactive dashboards and reports applied by business end users.

How you will do it

  • Work collaboratively to design, develop, implement and improve executive level visualizations, dashboards, and/or reports in a dynamic global environment.

  • Develop policies and procedures for the collection and analysis of data. Create or discover new data procurement and processing programs/methods.

  • Support management in making data driven decisions by providing clear, simplified, and accurate data and product insights.

  • Efficiently present conclusions and recommendations to top management.

  • Perform data manipulations and analysis on large data sets and deliver insights through easily understandable visualizations for internal customers, including executive leadership, that tell compelling stories and incite practical recommendations.

  • Ability to learn and understand modern database structures and capabilities.

  • Complete timely and accurate weekly, monthly or quarterly reporting activities as required by the business (including metrics, scorecards and dashboards).

  • Design and develop ad-hoc reporting as needed.

  • Contribute to exploration of new and innovative department opportunities, in both technical improvements and process efficiencies.

  • Handle concurrent projects and internal leadership; engage and manage relationships with business stakeholders.

  • Make strategic recommendations on data collection and integration that incorporate business requirements and knowledge of best practices.

What we look for

Required

  • Bachelor's Degree in Engineering, Business, Data Science, Analytics, Economics, IT or related disciplineand equivalent work experience.

  • Advanced communication and interpersonal skills; ability to work effectively with global teams.

  • Strong analytical and critical thinking skills.

  • Ability to conceptualize and apply visualization aligned to business requirements.

  • Proficiency with Visualization Tools; Power BI.

  • Experience with various ERPs and CRMs (including Salesforce).

    Preferred

    • Solid project management skills; ability to successfully manage multiple tasks at any given point.

    • Advanced MS Office skills.
