Aon has exciting opportunities to join our Commercial Risk team as a Producer for our M&A and Transaction Solutions Group in the U.S.

Aon's M&A and Transaction Solutions (AMATS) team provides both deal advisory services and a range of transaction solutions to clients undertaking M&A activity both in North America and globally. The team has a diverse range of backgrounds including investment bankers, Big 4, lawyers, actuaries, cyber security experts as well as human capital and risk & insurance specialists.

The team's focus is across two core strategies. First, to be the leading provider of specialist transaction related advisory services, stretching far beyond traditional risk and insurance due diligence. Our broader advisory capabilities include Cyber Security, Climate impact analysis, Human Capital (pension, heath and benefits, compensation, talent) plus Intellectual Property advisory.

Our Transactions Solutions capabilities deliver structured risk transfer instruments covering a range of unknown and contingent risks. Representation & Warranty (R&W) insurance plus contingent tax and litigation risk solutions are core focus areas. Within the US, Investment Tax Credits (ITC) and Production Tax Credits (PTC) insurance solutions represent a major opportunity. We also structure credit solutions and surety backed financial guarantees to enable clients to optimize their capital structure. These solutions all strive to leverage insurance capital to reduce exposure to downside risks and cashflow volatility, which can improve risk weighted returns, improve debt terms, and enhance IRRs.

There will be an opportunity to:
  • Work with the regional AMATS CEOs and Regional Infrastructure Champions to develop the infrastructure client coverage model across North America
  • Own and develop trusted advisory relationships across a range of key target clients.
  • Deliver revenue growth from target clients through leading the delivery of high-quality client service and deliverables.
  • Act as an Infrastructure subject matter expert to support other client teams develop relationships, win, and deliver engagements.
  • Broaden and deepening the infrastructure sector knowledge across the AMATS team.
  • Working with Aon colleagues, drive the development of new innovative solutions.
  • Building a strong internal network to unlock client opportunities and facilitate the delivery of outstanding client service.
Skills that lead to success:
  • Significant M&A advisory experience gained from an investment bank, corporate finance boutique, Big 4 or fund manager.
  • Deep Energy & Utilities sector knowledge and expertise (renewable is critical) plus ideally experience of at least one of the other three core sub-sectors (transport, digital and social)
  • A confident individual who thrives on building long term trusted client relationships
  • Internal and external networking experience and abilities
  • Active listener, able to identify client issues and articulate solutions.
  • Excellent communication, influencing and interpersonal skills across organizational levels
  • Goal-oriented with strong business acumen and client centric approach
  • Ability to work independently, handle competing priorities through effective prioritization and delegation.
  • Excellent analytical and numerical skills.
  • Known problem-solver who anticipates issues and suggests creative solutions.

The sky's the limit with our base salary and uncapped commission plan. The base salary range for this position is $200,000 - $250,000 annually. This salary range is an estimate, and the actual salary will vary based on applicant's education, experience, skills, and abilities, as well as internal equity and alignment with market data. The salary may also be adjusted depending on an applicant's geographic location.
