*Run gaming tournaments, events, and reservations; must know rules and procedures for billiards, table tennis, video game, and board game tournaments.
*Assists in running the Game Room social media apps by publishing pictures and news and events.
*Responsible for assisting in marketing: Generating fun ideas (karaoke, game tournaments, expos), collaborating with IT to create flyers and with other departments to organize and carry out an event.
*Decorates the Game Room for holidays and events.
*Conducts expositions at orientation: Prints and distributes coupon cards to freshmen and transfers, offers information about the Game Room, and provides a short overview speech about the department.
Federal Work Study
- Students enrolled at FIU, who have been awarded Federal Work Study (FWS) as part of their Financial Aid Award package.
- Student must be enrolled with a minimum of six (6) credit hours in a course of study leading to a degree or a Financial Aid eligible certificate, during Fall, Spring, and Summer semesters.
- Upon credits decreasing, award being canceled, or graduating, FWS employment must end.
Hours will vary based on class schedule and needs of the department.
