Preferred Qualifications:

Education: High School Diploma or GED

Experience: 5 years' experience as an industrial mechanic

Languages: English & Spanish

Skills:Working knowledge of truck electrical system and maintenance, Vocational education / training preferred

Duties and Responsibilities:

• This position is responsible for complete inspection, Maintenance, diagnosis and repair of Diesel and Propane Forklifts and mules at the different company locations.
• Observe functioning of forklifts and mules to detect hazards/problems and need for adjustments, repairs or replacement
• Duties will include adding fluids, changing air filters, updating service records, and reporting of maintenance issues requiring repair.
• Prepare equipment in accordance with company standards
• Perform routine and preventive maintenance on forklift and mules equipment
• Safely disassemble, and repair or replace broken parts
• Dismantle, test and analyze malfunctioning equipment, hand tools and power tool and tests apparatus to locate defects
• Inspect, press wash and fuel equipment
• Clean and lubricate parts
• Document all work performed
• Knowledge of diesel engines and electric systems
• Ability to read schematics and isolate component failures
• Must provide own tools
• Valid US Driver's license
• Other duties as assigned
