Experienced Non-Manager

Jet Avion Corporation is located at HEICO's corporate headquarters in Hollywood, Florida and specializes in the supply of various platforms of aircraft and engine PMAs. Our products and capabilities vary from cabin interiors to highly complex power plant and accessory parts.

The Quality Technician is responsible for product quality planning and control. This role works cross-functionally with internal stakeholders to ensure adherence to established quality standards.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Develop and review quality inspection and test plans.
  • Perform CMM program validations and approvals.
  • Assemble first article inspection and documentation data.
  • Coordinate review of non-conformances, liaising with internal stakeholders.
  • Work collaboratively within and across cross-functional teams with minimal supervision.
  • Other related duties may be assigned.

EDUCATION:

  • High School Diploma or GED Equivalent required.
  • AA Degree preferred.
  • ASQ Certified Quality Inspector (CQI) / Certified Quality Technician (CQT) is a plus.

EXPERIENCE:

  • Minimum of 10 years of experience in a Quality related role within the Aerospace/Aviation industry or a highly regulated industry.

SKILLS:

  • Must have a strong quality technical background and must be familiar with Quality Management Systems, AS9100/ISO9001, and FAA regulations, as well as inspection processes and procedures.
  • Demonstrated knowledge of Geometric Dimensioning & Tolerance, as well as Standard Measurement & Test Equipment.
  • Must have excellent organizational, analytical, and communication skills.
  • A high attention to detail is required.
  • Must thrive in a team-oriented and deadline-driven environment.
  • Must demonstrate an ability to easily create partnerships with internal stakeholder.
  • Self-starter, proactive, adaptable, and engaging approach.
  • Possess a strong work ethic and willingness to get the job done in a timely manner without sacrificing quality.
  • A high level of commitment to customer satisfaction.

SPECIALIZED KNOWLEDGE OR ABILITIES:

  • Computer Skills: MS Office proficiency required, CMM Programming is a plus, 3D CAD Software is a plus.
  • Mathematical Skills: Ability to work with mathematical concepts such as probability and statistical inference, and fundamentals of plane and solid geometry and trigonometry. Ability to apply concepts such as fractions, percentages, rations, and proportions to practical situations
  • Reasoning Abilities: Ability to define problems, collect data, establish facts, and draw valid conclusions. Ability to interpret an extensive variety of technical instructions in mathematical or diagram form and deal with several abstract and concrete variables.
  • Travel: Ability to travel up to 10%.

PHYSICAL DEMANDS

While performing the duties of this job, the Team Member occasionally may be required to sit; use hands to finger, handle, or feel; talk or hear; and frequently required to stand; walk; reach with hands and arms; climb or balance; stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl. They must occasionally lift and/or move up to 25 pounds. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and ability to adjust focus.
