Job Summary

The Office of Grad Enroll and Rtn. in the College of Business is searching for Student Recruitment & Sales Assistant to provides assistance in the recruitment of prospective students to ensure that enrollment goals for the Chapman Graduate School of Business are successfully met. Serves to execute an inbound and outbound, call-based strategy for all incoming leads (prospective students).

Duties to include:

  • Performs a large, specified number of inbound and outbound calls in a timely manner focused on effectively converting leads to applicants.
  • Becomes an expert on the Chapman Graduate School of Business, program offerings and admissions/enrollment processes.
  • Establishes, develops and maintains positive business and customer relationships and confidentiality.
  • Proactively assists leads by providing information on program offerings and answering questions.
  • Qualifies leads based on academic and professional background as well as level of interest.
  • Documents call details, descriptions, dispositions, quality and interest of prospective student in the appropriate software.
  • Utilize software, databases, resources, scripts, and tools appropriately.
  • Utilize a collaborative approach connecting leads with recruiters.
  • Assist with other recruitment related duties as directed by supervisor.
  • Assist with occasional evenings and Saturday morning events.

Minimum Qualifications
  • Academic or professional experience in sales and/or customer service.
  • Ability to work in a team setting.
  • Ability to take direction and work independently as needed.
  • Ability to maintain confidentiality when dealing with highly sensitive information.

Student Disclosure
  • Applicants must be currently enrolled as a student at FIU with a minimum of six (6) credits as an Undergraduate student or three (3) credits as a Graduate student during the Fall and Spring semesters.
  • During the Summer semesters, Students need only remain enrolled and are not required to take credit hours, but cannot have graduated.
  • Upon decreasing credit hours or graduating, student employment must end.
Work Schedule
  • 20 hours per week.
  • Monday to Friday.
  • Between the hours of 8:00 a.m. to 6:00 p.m.
  • Occasional nights and weekends.

Advertised Salary

$14.00/hour.
