Overview

Bermello Ajamil & Partners, a Woolpert Company (BA) is looking for full-time Senior Design Manager for its Coral Gables, FL office who is looking to join a creative and collaborative team. The Senior Design Manager will be responsible for leading and managing the development and execution of multiple architectural projects. This role involves working closely with architects, engineers, contractors, clients, and stakeholders to ensure projects are completed on time, within budget, and to the required quality standards. The Senior Design Manager will oversee all phases of project development from initial concept through to completion, ensuring alignment with organizational goals and objectives.

Responsibilities
    Develop and implement project plans, including timelines, budgets, and resource allocations.
  • Coordinate and manage project teams, including architects, engineers, contractors, and consultants, to ensure efficient project execution.
  • Act as the primary point of contact for clients and stakeholders, maintaining open and effective communication throughout the project lifecycle.
  • Ensure that all architectural projects comply with relevant regulations, standards, and best practices.
  • Manage project risks, including identifying potential issues and developing mitigation strategies.
  • Monitor project progress and make adjustments as necessary to ensure successful project completion.
  • Facilitate project meetings, providing updates on project status, milestones, and challenges.
  • Review architectural designs and plans to ensure they meet project requirements and quality standards.
  • Oversee financial management for projects, including budgeting, forecasting, and ensuring financial objectives are met.
  • Lead continuous improvement initiatives, identifying opportunities to enhance project delivery processes and outcomes.
Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree in Architecture. Master's degree preferred.
  • Must be a Florida-registered Architect.
  • Professional certification in project management (e.g., PMP) is highly desirable.
  • Proven experience in architectural project management, including a strong track record of successfully managing large-scale projects.
  • Deep understanding of architectural principles, construction methods, and project management best practices.
  • Excellent leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills.
  • Strong analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making capabilities.
  • Proficiency in project management software and design tools including AutoCAD, REVIT, and Sketch-up.
