Air Cost Control ("A2C"), a subsidiary of HEICO, a leading aviation electrical interconnect product distribution Company, is seeking a Buyer / Purchasing Agent that would be primarily responsible for, but not limited to the following duties:

  • Purchase materials in line with inventory targets.
  • Timely and effective communication of purchase orders to suppliers.
  • Track the status of orders communicating and expediting as needed
  • Maintain the accuracy of the master data related to their products.
  • Internal communication with different departments
  • Assist in resolving issues regarding damaged/inferior products, returns, invoice discrepancies, etc.
  • Identify savings opportunities and secure best pricing options.
  • Maintain strong communication with suppliers; resolve issues in a timely manner.
  • Proactively mitigate any potential problems in supply of materials
  • Lead contract negotiations and implementations with suppliers
  • Analyze market and industry conditions, material costs to develop supply recommendations
  • Works under department Manager to assist in determining materials demand based on inventory review and schedules

Job Requirements:

Education/Experience:

  • High Diploma or GED equivalent required.
  • 3-5 years of experience in related field
  • Aviation/Aerospace experience helpful but not required
  • Fluency or working knowledge of the French language is a plus

Knowledge/Skills/Abilities:

  • Excellent attention to detail
  • Strong organizational skills.
  • Strong work ethic (willingness to work hard and long hours, when needed).
  • Strong Excel skills as well as general working knowledge of ERP reporting packages are a must.
  • Must be self-motivated and able to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Must be flexible and able to multi-task in a time-sensitive environment.
  • Strong analytical skills and the ability to clearly express an opinion or interpretation of various analysis, schedules or statement and results.
