Turbine Controls, Inc. is a rapidly growing FAA authorized repair station involved in the maintenance, repair and overhaul (MRO) of commercial and military engine components and accessories. Summary: The Industrial Maintenance Technician is responsible for the maintenance of our Miramar facility and possess knowledge of industrial equipment's. Will install, repair and inspect machines and electrical equipment, carry out preventive maintenance to ensure that machinery remain operational. Performs general cleaning and other tasks as assigned. This is a full-time hourly position that reports to the Engineering Manager.
Primary Responsibilities:
- Installs, repairs, and maintains machinery and mechanical equipment by completing preventive maintenance.
- Perform scheduled facility maintenance tasks to support the facility structure, equipment, and grounds. Maintain the facility spare parts/supply inventory and submit request for purchase (RFP) timely to avoid stock outs.
- Schedule and supervise maintenance repair work and assist with checking installation and servicing building equipment.
- Contributes with the security of buildings and grounds.
- Perform routine maintenance on facilities and making repairs as needed.
- Perform scheduled facility housekeeping tasks to support the facility.
- Perform facility walk through at the beginning and end of each shift to identify any safety concerns.
- Preparing facilities for changing weather conditions
- Document and record maintenance and housekeeping activity.
- Clean areas as required.
- Communicate with contractors for large maintenance tasks.
- Perform other duties as assigned by the Engineering Manager
Minimum Requirements:
- High school education or equivalent.
- 5 years of working experience in facility industrial maintenance, especially in machinery hydraulic and pneumatic systems.
- Basic understanding of electrical, plumbing and HVAC systems.
- Ability to operate machinery and technical equipment.
- In-depth knowledge of system maintenance.
- Demonstrate strong communications and interpersonal skills.
- Be organized, detail oriented, self-motivated, and able to multi-task.
- Be computer literate, and proficient with Microsoft Office programs (Outlook, Word, and Excel).
- Keen attention to detail and efficient problem-solving skills
- Ability to push/lift 50 pounds.
- Ability to climb ladders.
- Bending at waist, sitting, kneeling, climbing, walking, crouching as job may require.
- Working in high noise levels requiring hearing protection.
- Working around lubricants, solvents, cleaning fluids, paints, etc.
Preferred Requirements:
- Being able to communicate in Spanish.
- Associates degree in mechanical engineering or similar field or related certifications
