Vedder Price has an excellent employment opportunity for a Global Transportation Finance Paralegal in our Miami office. This high-profile position entails providing paralegal support to the firm's Global Transportation Finance group. You will work closely with our attorneys, clients and opposing counsel.

As a Global Transportation Finance Paralegal, your duties will include but not be limited to:

  • Interact with clients and counsel during business transactions
  • Assist attorneys with business leasing and loan transactions
  • Manage and coordinate transaction closings
  • Review and organize due diligence materials and client records
  • Manage, prepare and distribute post-closing sets and other materials
  • Prepare and review UCC filings and documentation
  • Draft and proof closing documents, materials and correspondence
  • Manage International Registry filings
  • Annually log a target 1500 billable hours

  • Solid knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite
  • Willingness to work overtime

Qualifications & Required Experience:

  • Bachelor's degree required, J.D. preferred
  • Minimum of 2 years' experience in commercial lending/asset-based financing and transactional work preferred
  • Familiarity with UCCs is a preferred

Computer Skills:

To perform this job successfully, an individual must be proficient in the following software:

  • Knowledge of Microsoft Windows, Word, Outlook and Excel; proficiency using the Internet for fact research
